Plans and reward limits

Plan allowances and Progress rewards work together, but they are not the same product.

Limits and Progress rewards

A Progress reward is a permanent additive grant owned by the redeeming account. It is not a plan purchase, upgrade, renewal, discount, or subscription credit. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded for money, and cannot unlock paid plugins, developer access, permissions, administrator powers, collaboration powers, commerce controls, security controls, or MCP writes.

A finite plan allowance is increased by any active matching grants up to the reward's hard lifetime cap. A grant remains recorded while a plan already provides an unlimited allowance, but stays dormant until it is useful again after a downgrade. Existing records are not removed because a grant is dormant.

Selected-family grants

Tree, album, event, project, document, history, and custom-wallet grants target a family currently owned by the redeeming account. If that family is transferred or deleted, the grant becomes dormant. After 30 days the owner may reassign it to another family they own. Transferring a family does not transfer the Progress grant to its new owner.

AI credits and analytics

Funded AI-credit rewards are capped at 50 credits per UTC month and 500 credits for the lifetime of the account. They use the same funded AI wallet and do not alter BYOK or local-provider billing. Advanced Progress Analytics and the read-only Progress Coach are included for Family, Max, and Lifetime accounts. A Lite user may redeem either permanent unlock after reaching Branch. The Progress Coach still needs a configured provider and consumes normal AI credits.

Redemption safety

Every redemption rechecks the authenticated account, point balance, level, plan inclusion, selected-family ownership, monthly and lifetime caps, and a one-time request key inside one transaction. Concurrent submissions cannot spend the same points twice. Redeemed benefits remain after a Progress reset or opt-out.
